WELCOME TO SERIF AND SANS!
I’m Katie, a wedding invitation designer serving clients throughout
New England and beyond. My studio is based in Norwood, Massachusetts,
and I live in Barrington, Rhode Island.
My days are spent immersed in paper and people, two things I genuinely love. From perfecting the smallest details to bringing your vision to life, every step of the process is what makes this work so rewarding.
At Serif and Sans, you’ll work directly with me from start to finish. Together, we’ll create a custom invitation that feels thoughtful, refined, and entirely your own. You’re welcome to design in person at my Norwood studio or collaborate remotely, whichever feels easiest for you.
My goal is to bring a sense of ease, excitement, and understated luxury to your wedding through a seamless stationery experience.

PAPER IS ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT CATCHES MY ATTENTION
I can’t help but notice the quality of paper and press. With Serif and Sans, you can expect an invitation that not only looks good in design, but feels even better when you’re holding it in your hands. There’s something about the texture, weight and even the imprint of letterpress that makes a difference.
Stationery design slipped into my life when I was 14. Since then, I have managed five stationery stores and sold invitations for over 18 years. I studied graphic design at Eastern Illinois University.
Serif and Sans officially opened in late 2018, creating New England wedding invitations for local brides and then branching out from there.
I still just love stationery! I have always wanted to be an
entrepreneur, and with my passion for paper and design,
wedding invitation design fit me perfectly.

A FEW THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT ME

I’ve always loved planning and creating, even as a child.

My husband and I have known each other since we were seven and were married in 2019. We now have two children, Henry and Olivia, who are my world.

After living in six major U.S. cities, we settled in Barrington, Rhode Island, in 2023, while my studio remains based in Norwood, Massachusetts.
That’s a small glimpse into my life, but what I look forward to most is creating a custom invitation that tells your story beautifully.
